My 40k guard army is based on the forces of Solentia. They are a small empire of a few systems that the Imperium is in control of. They are based around several influences from the Byzantines to the Napoleonic Russians. There are also elements in there from The Whermacht and also the modern RAF regiment. The army is actually the 9th Solentian Division which has had several different postings although at present they are in the anargo sector on Cas-Alpha.
